there's times i want someone more like me

this disease, why did it choose me?
because it searched the whole of the universe and found one who would best handle it.

a quote on the whiteboard in the other printing room, the one with the scenery. took it down during the latest chill out session with the babes. and the three of us were wowed by the metaphor. simple yet so close to the heart. its like, in that instance, i could feel each of us respectively applying the wisdom of that quote to our own lives to make ourselves feel better. like some explanation to why things had to happen to us.

its like hey,
we're going through what we're going through, because we can handle it.
because if it were to happen to someone else, they would just crumble.

watched Crash, at last (!)
and yes, its effing amazing. deserving of the Best Picture title.
or maybe ive always loved intertwining stories.

to me, and i think to most of the people who've watched it,
the best, or one of the best scenes, was the accident scene where Dillon's racist cop had to save Thandie Newton's character before her car gets blown up. for the sake of those who havent watched, she got molested by him in a previous scene during a pullover that when she recognised his voice (she was stuck upside down so she didnt see him at first), she freaked out and began screaming for someone else, other than him to help her out. but he was the only one around and she just had to trust him in that moment. the sequence was played out beautifully with slo-mo visuals accompanied by of course a moving music and i was just touched by the reality of how much we actually need to rely on other people, often strangers, in times of need. of which we usually didnt see coming.

and almost everyone is in Crash. the Hispanic guy, who was also in World Trade Center, opposite Nicolas Cage, was one of the supporting characters. Sandra Bullock (she was amazing) and Ryan Philippe (who turned out to be the cause of such pain, like who'd have thought)

overall, darn good, for want of a better word.
a must- watch ;]

oh and it was super great that the Asian team won yesterday for the challenge (Survivor). how could MC not want to show us that! :P

my favourite scene is the one where the hispanic dad thought his daughter had died (i thought too) and he screamed.................

now you had better watch Eternal Sunshine. Altho its quite hard to understand still.
