sick on mon

for being out almost every day of last week and eating fast food each time - McD, Long John Silver, KFC & Burger King, i have only gained a sore throat now and im determined to be on this super- fast recuperation coz i cant stand being sick. i mean who can right. with a sore at the back of the throat such that it hurts terribly each time you swallow accompanied by the irritating runny nose, i will be only too pleased when this ordeal is over.

but for the moment, i shall continue drinking gallons of water and finishing up all the packets of tissue paper.

i need to be well by tomorrow at the very least coz mom has already decided to go on that overdued JB trip, which usually equates to a movie, lunch and some shopping. but if im still not well by tomorrow, guess we got to postpone it till Wed. aunt and fellow nephew wont be dropping by on their usual Tues visits since the september holidays have already begun.

adha will be back on Wed most probably. and i have a surprise waiting for her (!) haha. so we shall enjoy Herbie on Thurs ait gurl? coz the surprise can only be taken into action from 8th sept onwards. haha.

Be With Me opens on Thurs. anyone interested to watch it on Fri with me? i think its gonna be one damn good movie la and since i didnt manage to watch Perth (dammit ) i got to give this local one some recognition it deserves.

im loving my month, just coz of the wonderful movies to be shown. Corpse Bride will be out on the 22nd.

went to meet up with Yani, Hanis & Sharmie last Wed. but we didnt go back to visit the old teachers. heh. we assumed that most of those whom we want to see wont be there nemore and the rest prolly wont even remember us. and anyways, both Hanis & Sharmie finished school rather late. and it was reallie nice how we can still chat like in the good ol' days even though we only get to meet up like once in a blue moon, what with all the different timetables and activities. with one from a poly, another from ITE, and the other two from JCs. i guess just like what Sharmie said, marks of a true friendship indeed. love you guys loads!

then on Thurs, yes it was my bdae, but i still had to finish up one more day of my surveyor stint. and this time we continued with NTU. thank god we only had a few left [ not that the few was really little ] but we managed to finish them up and grinned, literally, our way through. returned them at around 3 and was told that there was gonna be another stint in NUS on the 14th. figured i could make it and the stakes this time was higher making it a more interesting prospect. will be waiting for their call to come and get our pay sometime this week.

anyways.
mom made a feast to celebrate my eighteenth year into this world. thank you mom for being in my life. and dad and sis too for making life most bearable.

then on Fri, headed down to PS to get that surprise as stated above. but there was already a queue by the time i reached, which was already an hour earlier than the supposed time. so those people probably started camping out by nine. was joined later by mie who then had to rush off for her work. and i decided to catch a movie all by myself at the spur of the moment.

made friends with these two Japanese kiddos who were really friendly and cute. haha. they in fact have the day off coz they're from a private school and private schools supposedly got the Friday off while public schools, Thursday, as their Teachers' Day holiday. interesting. and one of them was also a fan of Harry Potter [ coz i was reading it at that time haha. couldnt resist. ] and revealed that he was still on the first chapter coz he's been too busy to continue reading it. and i was already on the 15th.

then on Sat, sis had the day off [ yiPpee : ) ] and we devoted the first half of our day to spring- cleaning out our room. it was really amazing how we can have an empty box at the end of it when all these while we thought we needed another box to fit in all the other things lying about. haha. and of coz, no surprise at all, most of the things that ended in the waste paper basket belonged to yours truly. its really amazing how each time we cleaned out the boxes, there will always be things of mine that serve no purpose at all of being in a place other than in the waste paper basket.

but of coz, there are still stuffs that i still keep and it was nice looking through the old things again. make you smile. make you remember. make you laugh at how corny and dumb you can sometimes be.

and i guess, it was some way for me to put things into perspectives. like whats important and whats not. and what i will forever keep dear and close to me and what i can certainly do without.

and the later part of the day was spent accompanying dear sis check out new bags and shoes for herself since she's gonna be promoted to somewhat a more posh position than the one she's having now. so glad for her. she deserves it la after all the hardwork and dedication she's put into this current position. and she's gonna prove those stupid critics wrong. damned you. why cant people be happy for other people?? why must there be jealousy and silly pretense??

this world is just so screwed.

and Sun was spent like any other sundays. a rest day for the hectic week before. time spent with fam. and especially yesterday. what with the cold weather. perfect for staying in, snug in the warm blankets, with harry and the prince as company.

ok. i just realised that last sentence sounded wrong somehow. haha.

oh wells.

ANTM gonna be on tonight. my my. such drama. but lurrve it. haha. and sis and i accidentally stumbled upon the winner the other time we surfed through the Net and we couldnt be happieer. i mean, we've been rooting for her right from the start so its just great that she's the winner. but correct me if im wrong, but i dont remember Ch5 ever showing the 3rd season, or rather Cycle3 as they call it. did it? and now we're getting the 4th season already.

anyhows.
the Malaysian channel 8TV has been showing The Apprentice way faster than Ch5. and i reallie think she's the most deserving winner out of all three. Bill was actually not as composed as her during his time and Kelly is not so much a people- person as she is. and i like how she "wants to see the better side of people, such that when she succeeds, she's touched."

kudos to all the deserving winners for the reality TVs this time round.
