somehow i find this picture so..
picturesque.
[wow, good try at selecting appropriate words uh]
hah.
but dont you think its just beautiful how the sun highlights only the couple and the rest just fade into oblivion? its like you somehow get to share what the couple is feeling, which is, they're the only two persons in the world. and nothing else matters.
but partly also because i just dig pictures of sunset or sunrise. so this one just grabbed my attention. and its too beautiful to just let it pass and not store it here.
=)
finished reading a book, Remember Me, by Lesley Pearse.
and what an amazing book. its all moving, inspirational and motivational about how a woman, Mary, continued to live despite the odds, struggles and misfortunes that life constantly threw at her. its based on a true story depicted in the year 1786, spanning 8-9 years, and the way its written made you feel like you were with her through those years.
its a story that celebrates freedom and the strength of the human spirit, especially that of a woman and a mother.
and reading it just makes you mad at how corruption and improper handling of the top management can cause sufferings to those below. thats why they say if you're not fit to be a leader, very well dont. cuz you're just gonna bring more harm than good.
anyways.
am supposed to go to school today at 12 noon, for Leo Club meeting about the induction programme at Ngee Ann Poly on the 27th. but silly me ate a whole pack of chips on Sat and got myself a sore throat instead.

cant wait for Dhan's play on the 19th! but this time round, doubt it'll be the entire gang going. so far its only me, Aisyah, and Sul. but still hoping for positive replies from the rest!
*hint hint*
then again, your prelims more important la. hee. anyway there's still the alumni meet on the 28th! this one better come arr!
(>.')
itching to get my hands on another book already. i should have borrowed more than one last Thurs. sheesh. but since i'll probably be meeting Hani tomorrow, i might as well drop by the lib. and borrow more than one please.
gotta drink as much water by Wed. got the bbq for R Lee. still think its crappy that he'll no longer be with us. but then, good things always come to an end.
watched Signs last night?
great great one. haha. better than The Village la. but a bit below Sixth Sense.
but i still like Shyamalan's style of paying such attention to details, which you wont notice if you missed it.
for me, i like the part when they were all face to face with the alien [which stayed back to take revenge for his cut-off fingers] and Mel Gibson suddenly flashback to the previous conversation he had with Phoenix. abt instances when pure coincidence and luck meet.
i mean, they were lucky and its of pure coincidence that Phoenix was standing near his bat. right? what if he was at the other end of the room instead? then Mel Gibson said those magic words, swing it away.
aaand of coz our lil Bo [such a darling right she] it was another case of luck for them that she left all her glasses of water around. and Mel Gibson didnt attempt to clear them away.
sigh.
such details to the plot is indeed a stroke of genius.
and i like too [tak habis2 aku nie eh] of how Shyamalan chose to end the show with such subtlety.
i mean, he didnt like show the four of them happily having breakfast or what. instead, he just did a simple pan of how the house got refurnished after the alien scare and then Mel Gibson appearing from the toilet, dressed in his pastor clothes. with the sounds of the kids happily playing in the background.
its obvious without being too direct. he got back his faith in God [for getting his son alive again] and that they were, in simple terms, living happily ever after.
haha.
getting too carried away uh.
awwrite la.
i shall relieve you all from this very long entry and go get myself some breakfast.
ta!
oh! btw, my letter at last got published in the wkend edition of TODAY!! yiPpEe!! i was already giving up hope of it ever getting published.
