:: serendipity ::
i think most of you are still enjoying your beauty sleep while im writing this uh.
but its ok. take it that im telling you guys a bed time story (?) haha.
there once lived a girl who had always been attentive to whats going on around her. or at least she thought so. she's the kind who 'd make sure she gets the facts right about little things like exam time, exam venues and what nots.
all along she'd been the early one, and others would rely on her to take them to their designated seats. thats just how earnest she is.
but one very fine day, in her own world of daze and selamba- ness, she cleanly forgot about the time and was still taking her own sweet time in her room, an hour before the paper starts.
but just as suddenly, it was as though an electric shot jolted her into reality and she freakin realised that she ought to be already meeting her friend in 10minutes time but there she was, still packing her bag, and thinking that she had a lot of time to spare.
and it was motion in breakneck speed.
yelling to her mom that she needed money for taxi because her paper would be starting in 50 minutes time, while forcing herself to remain calm because her mom was freaking out and it certainly would not help to have two freaks freaking each other out.
and so for the first time in history, she was ready in 5 minutes.
but it was raining.
and so she contemplated to not take the taxi, lest a traffic jam. and took the risk of a maybe slower but safer option of the mrt.
but how she must thank her God for making the journey smooth. for once, the mrt seemed to move faster than usual. but her heart certainly did not stop drumming up like nobody's business against her chest that she could have sworn she'd throw up if the mrt were to suddenly break down.
and it was to her sheer delight that she met her friend [who was also running late] who brought her to the exam venue via a short cut.
and lo and behold!
she managed to conquer the impossible and arrived 7 minutes before her paper starts.
what an adventure to round up the semester.
well, at least i have something to tell my children.
ha.
