don't they always say good things happen to good people?
was at the hairdresser that day. read HerWorld, i think, the year 2000- something's. there was an interesting feature in it regarding child prostitutes in India.. was saddened actually at how some of the mothers can have the heart to force their fellow daughters to sleep with many many men in just a night. but not all of these mothers do it with a willing heart. i mean, which sane mother would do such a thing to her own baby?? which mother with a heart would want to torture her own flesh and blood this horrible, despicable way?? its just that they have no choice, these people. in fact, the girls grow up thinking that prostitution is correct and that there's nothing wrong with being fondled by different men, some as old as their own father, each and every night. and you know why? bcuz their mothers are too embarrassed admitting to them that they are prostitutes and hence, the cycle goes on.. and on. except for this one featured girl, who fights for her own destiny. she knows that what her mother was forcing her to do is not the right thing. she knows that she doesnt want this horrid life and that there is hope for a better one. and so, with her determination, courage and strength, she manages to go out of that life and enter a new one, with new hopes, new goals.
life is about living to learn.
